Heather + Michael

March 29

Heather and Michael woke up to tiny white snow flurries on their wedding day. We asked, “If rain on your wedding day means Good Luck, then what does snow mean?” Heather’s mom said it means lots of grandbabies. Im not sure about that but it did make for one COLD day. Everyone including the whole bridal party was troopers and braved the weather for some outdoor photos. Lessons on “going with the flow” and having a positive attitude can be learned from these two. Their minister was sick and had to be replaced the night before their wedding. They didn’t let it worry them. Instead they met Kevin, the minister, for the first time at their Rehearsal Dinner, remained excited about the wedding, and were able to joke about it during the ceremony. How many ministers can say in the middle of the ceremony, “I feel like it were only yesterday that we met” and actually mean it?

Their McClain Lodge reception was absolutely beautiful with arrangements and decor from Fresh Cut, catering by Pretty Presentations, cakes from Cakes by Iris, and lighting from Davaine. Everything fell perfectly together under the direction of planner and coordinator Shanna Lumpkin.
